About NVBMB

The Netherlands Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NVBMB) is the national organization representing researchers in the molecular life sciences. Founded in 1927, the Society brings together over 800 members from universities, research institutes, and industry, promoting excellence, collaboration, and the exchange of expertise in biochemistry and molecular biology.

NVBMB is a member of both the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS) and the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB), and actively contributes to European scientific exchange through joint meetings and participation in FEBS committees. The Society hosts regular symposia on timely scientific topics, with internationally renowned speakers, and supports promising researchers through prestigious prizes and travel grants. NVBMB membership also provides access to the FEBS travel grants scheme.

With its strong scientific tradition and commitment to the next generation, the NVBMB is proud to host the 50th FEBS Congress in Maastricht.
