After the opening lectures, all participants of the Congress are invited to network with their colleagues over a drink and nibble and start to explore the exhibition.
Kick off the Congress with an enjoyable evening of networking and warm conversations in a relaxed atmosphere. Reconnect with old friends and meet new colleagues. This gathering sets the tone for the exciting days ahead!
Congress Dinner

Location: Ship “Scheldevallei”, between the St. Servaasbrug and Wilhelminabrug in the city centre
Join us for an unforgettable evening aboard a cruise on the Maas. During the cruise, we will pass, amongst other sights, the historic St Servatius Bridge, the Basilica of Our Lady, a section of Maastricht’s first city wall (dating from 1229), the ‘Céramique’ district with the Bonnefanten Museum and the Government Building, and St Pietersberg. Just before the Belgian border, you will have a good view of the ‘Ternaaien’ lock complex. Here, the boat turns and sails back to Maastricht, past the gravel pits.
Enjoy a delightful buffet dinner and the company of fellow scientists in a unique and picturesque setting.

FEBS Women in Science Lunch

Location: NH Maastricht Hotel
This complimentary networking lunch celebrates gender equality and mentorship in science. Designed to foster meaningful interactions between early-career female researchers and established scientists, the event encourages discussions on career development, leadership, and inclusivity.
Participants of all genders committed to a diverse scientific community are welcome.
Participation is free of charge, but spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis through pre-booking. To reserve your spot, please sign up at the FEBS stand starting 18:15 on Saturday, 4 July 2026.
